I don't think the Tyson/RJJ/Hamed comparisons hold up.
Mayweather is not made up that way. He doesn't rely completely on his physical ability like those two did. I get the feeling that even if he lost a step or two, he'd still be the destructive force he is.
His makeup more like Hopkins/Hagler. He's mentally tough, extremely focused, fiercely dedicated. Maybe runs his mouth and is a little immature, but he seems to have little difficulty blocking out exterior distractions. I guess that's adaquate.
Just watch his infighting skills for example (Chavez, JLC, N'dou), the way he flawlessly slips punches at close range with subtle twists and turns. A slick boxer/puncher isn't supposed to be able to win fights on the inside. The man is a complete fighter.
