I don't think he has good enough fighters on his resume to be up there. its a shame he was out all those years with injuries or else I think he may have been up there. head to head he gives all the greats at least trouble imo

        Pretty much exactly this.

Unfortunately for a real good guy like Vitali, his fans often negate that fact completely. I mean let's be honest here, he's fought one top ten fighter since his comeback. And even against Adamek, he failed to look impressive. His best years was taken away from him.

I agree with everything apart from the Adamek comment.

Vitali dominated the entire fight and bashed Tomas around the ring. It was ever so one-sided.

I completely agree with that. To explain it a little more, I think Vitali carried Adamek in that fight. He should have finished him earlier. But I don't know the reason behind it though, I just don't think he did his best for some reason.

Really? To me he's an underlined second tier kind of guy! Only in this era is he a top ten contender. Theres no part of his game thats outstanding and theres a lack of knowledge on the inside and how to handle being hurt!! For all the fights he's had he's been in so light I see no improvements at all!
He does come in good shape and his effort can't be denied but to class him in with great heavyweights is a joke! The skill level just isn't there Ray

I barely have him in the TOP 20. The problem is that he hasn't fought ATGs or other TOP 20 fighter outside of Lennox Lewis. How good is he? He hasn't fought the Tysons, Holmes, Foremans, Fraziers, Alis of the world, let alone the Nortons, Quarry's Witherspoons.

He has dominated against the competition he faced but it was all second-class competition. It's a shame that the heavyweight division doesn't have great fighters but ... there it is. Arreola, Briggs, Solis aren't exactly HOF material.

It was third and fourth class competition.

He shouldn't be in anyone's top 20 IMO. Maybe somewhere around 25.

                    Not even top 500 lol.

I'll change my opinion when someone tells me a top top level fighter that he's beaten.

                    I think I'll be waiting a while........
