He fought Huge fighters in his prime and destroyed them (somehow size kings say Louis is too small, meanwhile his resume is loaded with 6 ft 6+ 250+ lb chumps that would fit right in with the guys today, only they had better chins lol!)

later on he was slower but fighting skilled guys like Charles and Walcott, yet when Rocky out hustles these guys it means nothing lol.

I do think Louis would have knocked them out in his prime (charles) but that doesnt mean he wouldnt have had a hard time.

Then we got Ali, he destroyed all the big guys, and gets hurt by Cooper and Doug Jones, later on Frazier. The only guys that hurt him were small. Cooper and Jones were cruisers. Yet some how he's too small, and Rocky is too small. I dont understand the casual logic.

Rocky wouldnt be too small, he would be right in close and these bums wouldnt know what to do with him.
marciano would ko cassius clay pretty easily tbh.

clay was susceptible to left hooks. the pressure would be just to much for him.

joe frazer and ken norton would get massacred by marciano.
neither man has a good chin. clays arm punching made a lot of guys look tougher than they actually are

That's the younger generation for you. They're spoiled. They talk when they should listen and make assumptions. First of all, nobody denies Ali has the best heavyweight resume. But that doesn't mean that Louis didn't have good technical skills and toughness. No matter what era you fight in, 25 lineal title defenses is impressive. So the reason why people here defend Louis is because the younger generation feels a need to crap on him. Their logic is their favorites are the best, everyone else are bums.

The heavyweight division has always been full of laughable oposition and thats exactly why so many light heavyweight did so well.

When you start getting into the bigger athletes you are playing with a lot of limited athletes, only the rare bigger men had some sort of ability, and usually they were on the smaller side. Ali and Foreman were big considering their ability. most fighters 6 ft 6 and up are giving up something, are usually a chin in the air stiff fighting individual without many tricks, or weight a lot but non of of it usable strength.

Louis flattening 25 men the way he did is still impressive because every heavyweight faced their share of laughable oposition.

I mean Lennox lewis got koed by rahman, Wladmir got koed by brewster and saunders, Wilder was a world champion at one point, Carnera was a world champ at one point...the list goes on.

Louis and Rocky take way to much heat no no reason, and its mostly from uneducated boxing fans. Louis was a fundamental genius and Rocky was so crafty he conned the public into thinking he was just a one dimensional dummy who managed to out tough everyone. Charles would have lit him up with ease if he was so easy to hit.
