    Dempsey Duckers-Wills vs Greb

    - -Never seen a hint of Harry Wills vs Harry Greb proposed, so why is that?

A Harry Battle Royale sounds scrumptious, yet oddly we only have a few minutes video of Wills looking Horrid and Greb looking light in the loafers.

They fought a blizzard of top fighters, but ne'r so much as spittin' distance with each other.

I know the fighter I'd favor and the reasons why, but what sayeth our resident unwashed rubes on their fave as well as why they didn't fight?

Wills battered Norfolk, who gave Greb a handful.

Greb vs. Langford and the other Kimbos makes for interesting match making, but Wills is a bridge too far.

Wills would have entered the ring 6’2” at 230+ as he did against many of his smaller opponents. At that weight Greb would be unable to grapple and roughhouse with Wills. A fight on the inside favors Wills because of his size and weight, a fight on the outside favors Wills for his reach.

Yea, Wills too big. I see a similarity with the Duran-Leonard-Hearns combination.

Greb 5.8 (160 lbs) was big enough to deal with the 6.1 (190 lbs) Dempsey; Dempsey was big enough to deal with the 6.2 (220 lbs) Wills; but Greb isn't big enough to go with Wills.

        * I suspect that Wills is taller than the 6.2 BoxRec has him listed as.

          - -Harry used to be listed as 6-3.

Sorta like Big George being 6-4, now at 6-3, meaning boxrec has to Drop Ali and Kenny to 6-2 since in the ring George clearly taller.

I too favor Wills, and perhaps Greb saw him in action and said, "no way Jose!"

            - -Now Teensy ducking me like he did in the beginning before coming back on hands and knees begging for me to grace his pillock threads.

In 1920 Redsox owner Frazee who was minting a fortune in stage plays offered $350k for the match to be held in The Redsox stadium.

With a link, but poor Teensy wilted in the open space of sunlight because that ain't in his carefully crafted box of chocolates' history according to Gump and Teensy.

Greb was not big enough to deal with Dempsey. The reality is Greb would have entered the ring at around 165 pounds. He was in fact a middleweight in size. A 165 pound middleweight is not going to do well being hit by punches that brought down Willard and Sharkey. First solid blow would end the fight. Remember Sharkey stated that “I never thought anyone could hit that hard” and Sharkey was used to being hit by heavyweights. He did not have similar comments concerning Louis’s punches.
