    The Rematch

In Boxing Monthly’s Oct issue, there’s this discussion whether it’s wise or not of Joshua to take an immediate rematch against Andy Ruiz.
Teddy Atlas thinks not: “When Joshua fought Klitschko, he showed resolve. He got off the floor. He fought back. Why? Because he hadn’t made 70, 80, 90 million pounds already. He found a reason to get up. He couldn’t find a reason against Ruiz.”

    I found this piece entertaining:
When George Foreman knocked out Atlas’ fighter, then heavyweight champion Michael Moorer, they did not seek a rematch. Instead, Atlas took Moorer to train in one of the dankest, hardest parts of Jersey City before a comeback fight against Melvin Foster. Moorer carried his own gym bag. He stayed in a hotel four stars short of a star. The idea was to remind him, in the starkest way, of all that he’d lost.

I can agree with that. Stallone nailed it with Rocky 3. A person can forget what they're fighting for when their success has outgrown the hardship. Joshua was on his way to the biggest payday of his career if he got past Andy Ruiz. We will find out in December if hes making the right decision or not.

I wish they did the same type of promo, with Joshua on the muppet show, doing commercials, etc.

        - -Poor Teddy been certified punch drunk since his nanosecond amateur career.

AJ on his feet when stopped by the ref in a good stoppage since he clearly no longer understood what was going on.

Teddy gonna treat Gvozdyk like a 3rd world stepchild after his heroic fight vs Beterbiev?

Yep, Teddy undefeated in flogging dead horses and pulling guns on unarmed fighters...only in boxing!

          Talk about winning the internet.

I want to be you when I grow up (I don't think I ever will, though).

            well said.

I think Moorer needed it. Joshua saw his whole legacy comecrashing down. I don't know what more motivation he needs. I wouldn't be surprised if he pummels Ruiz into refied beans. I mean, I think his jaw is shyte, and always has been. But he should do a lot better this time around, knowing Ruiz has a pulse - even if only thanks to a Pacemaker and Statins.

YOu do know why Teddy pulled that gun? Thats a bit low. Teddy couldn't ask Mike to go outside could he? A time and a place... even for pulling a gun.

                - -I agree it's low that Teddy pulled a gun, but you could remind us, the unwashed why he did that.

Tyson had ******ed his family member... He was protecting someone. There was no necessary indication that Tyson would stop, I have sisters... I don't blame Teddy. He could not challenge Tyson to a fist fight.

you truly say some things...One would hope you are just trying to get a reaction.

                    - -Teddysan hails from a well to do family.

What the hay is his sis doing at the Cus training camp? Was they also living with Cus like Tyson was?

How do we know sis weren't ******ing Tyson who was ******ed much as a kid, which he still was mentally?

Did Blowhard, knows everything Teddy ever think to consult with his older, wiser mentor forevermore for a better game plan than death and destruction?

Have you ever actual thunk about these things?
