Most impressive, non-wipeout Sonny Liston performances?

I would like to read some opinions/suggestions on which of Liston's fights (throwing out the Patterson/Ali fights) people here feel showcase his in-ring abilities, or ones where he used this to overcome adversity in a fight. I've watched a handful of his fights, and I am just curious to learn more. Thanks in advance

His bouts with Cleveland Williams. Williams was an underrated HW, and Liston fought him in his prime, before a bullet ripped through his body and nearly killed. Ali fought post-gunshot Williams. Liston was able to take Williams power, close the distance and finish him with superior jab, cutting off the ring and combinations. Zora Folley was also a formidable opponent in his prime when he fought Liston.

      Hey, hey!
Thanks a lot for those suggestions and for the time taken to give them. Much, much, appreciated. I believe that I have watched the majority of one of those Williams fights but, truth be told, my using the word "watched" is likely being a bit generous to myself. I believe I was watching a nephew at the same time.
As to a Liston vs Folley bout, I hope that I will be able to find a version of at least decent quality to watch later on today. I've done some basic YouTube searches for Liston fights before, probably when I "watched" the one Williams fight, but I just don't recall ever coming across a Folley fight. I hope that is incorrect on my part.
But anyway, thanks again for akin the suggestions. i very much appreciate them

Man, I have had ZERO luck so far in finding any video evidence, let alone the actual full (I believe it's) 3 rounds which Liston vs Folley consisted of. Any help if you're aware of a location you can point me towards would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately I don't see his fight with Liston on Youtube. There are several of his other fights on there, including a long bio of his life and death. He beat some good fighters in his day; Chuvalo, Bonavena, Doug Jones, Bethea, Bob Foster, and others. He was an economical fighter but smart. Very good at feinting, jabbing, and slipping punches. Similar style and stance to Joe Louis but not as much power. Lasted 7 rounds with prime Ali when Zora was already well past his own prime.

Nino Valdez also gave Sonny some trouble in the first round of their fight. He had Sonny's eye swollen shut after round 1, but Sonny persevered and KO'd him in the third. Can't find any footage on that one either.

Eddie Machen gave him all sorts of issues.

Liston outfought him though he had to dig very deep.

Machen was a really good fighter. A long with Zora Folley, who Liston also beat, one of the guys who Patterson was steered away from during his reign.
