Are you saying Tyson took punishment in Bruno II? I don't think Bruno landed a punch. He was too busy grabbing Mike like a Tigertown ***** hugs a steer.

Finally found out where the quote came from:

Top 5 reasons (why Tyson lost to Douglas) on ESPN

"Tyson is only as good as the program you put in him" -Bob Arum

I think if roy jones at his prime can have a good match with tyson back in the days.he just have to stay out of range on tysons hooks and combinations he used to have.it would be a great match seeing a good tricky counter puncher against a solid infighter.
but back at his time I saw tyson can just duck and slip jabs of his opp. then go in fight and box his way.

lunge in,weaving body hook to uppercut was already a disaster when he use it to chase or counter his opp. but it is also his set up to begin his combinations as infighter.

imo tyson in his days slip pass the jabs and even hooks as counter as an out fighter but doesnt do much 1 2 combintions nor jabs
but then he have a very solid infighting game.have a good speed. and the fact he doesnt block the hooks on close range but weaves on it then retaliate with combos is really deadly.

then combine it with a power of a slugger.he "was" unstoppable.

maybe lewis again. but naysayers still said that lewis fought a tyson that was begging to detetiorate at that time.

dont know much I havent seen both of their fights.

          just my 2 cents

Anybody with a good uppercut would give even a prime Tyson problems. I dont think Tyson would ever be able to beat Holyfield on his best day.

There are many fighters that could stop tyson. Dempsey, johnson, tunney, baer, louis, marciano, liston, ali, frazier, foreman, holmes, holyfield, lewis... Heck, maybe even v. klitschko. tyson dont rate high in my book.

Strange how a fighter can stir up such a wide spectrum of opinions on him and his worth as a fighter.

I dont see Holyfeild being able to take Tysons body punches.
But it would have been interesting.

The thing about holyfield is that he was too damn tough for tyson. one might argue that tyson was not in his prime when he fought holyfield, but neither was holy. I firmly believe that the 96 clash between tyson and holyfield had the same outcome as would a prime vs prime matchup
