He hasnt impressed me since he fought Castillo years ago since then he's done nothing for the sport accept make a mochary of it being inactive calling out fighters and never accepting the fight when it comes down to finalizing it.
            - -Just a few thoughts by ol'Timers on the history forum back in the day.

By this time Manny had fought, beat, and KOed more Ring p4pers in history and gets short shrift.

I would say that the difference between 'best' and 'most accomplished'.

You are arguing Manny was the most accomplished at the time of the thread (thus citing his resume); but that does not necessarily mean he was the best. Best in this case is an analysis of all their attributes, abilities, skills, etc relative to their weight classes. You could be the best fighter in the ring, but just not have as good of a resume as someone else (the two are not mutually exclusive).

                - -The best ain't U unstudied opinion.

The best is The Truth as Manny has proven.

I think this is just an issue of semantics.

There is a discussion as to who is the most accomplished & best resume. There is also a discussion for who people feel is the best in regards to an analysis of all their attributes, abilities, skills, etc. Moreover, there is room to hold each discussion.

In general, when people refer to the 'best' it is the second discussion, whereas 'greatest' tends to be the former. I wouldnt get too bent out of shape for people discussing who they think the 'best' is under this context. Just recognize that you are not writing about the same thing that many here are.

In 2015, Floyd proved in the ring that he was a better fighter than Manny. The end........
