Obviously not a fan of floyd then lol! Our definitions of 'elite' are obviously miles apart and I still think it's a joke to call a world champ with 41 fights 'green' regardless of how u view his record but the only point I feel I have to respond to is your hilarious perception of the Kessler in the HOF comment.
Firstly,I stated later that Kessler would be a stretch due to his record and also initially said "possibly Kessler" when discussing 'active' fighters who could make it in.kessler is a legend in Scandinavia,go there and you will see him on billboards,on TV ads, underwear commercials, you name it he's on it! He's a superstar in those parts and a well respected charitable figure in that part of the world and all through boxing. There's more criteria used to determine who among boxing royalty gets inducted than just the fighters they fought! If that was the only factor then the great rocky balboa wouldn't be in there or Michael buffer there records are certainly not littered with elites lol! The point is,all of what I've mentioned about his superstar status and the fact he's fought legends of the game in massive arenas and won world championships and he's back fighting therefore 'active' led me to say his name. I don't think it was as hilarious a claim as you make out

Floyd hasn't been dropped partly because he doesn't take much risk in-ring.

I think the main difference between Floyd & Whittaker is that Floyd has a genuine mental aptitude for defence whereas Pea relied far more on cat-like reflexes, speed of movement and all-round agility.
Of course, Floyd is (or - was) also gifted in these departments. But when age began to eat away at his physical attributes he could always fall back on his mental skillset - which, unlike physical skills, improve with age.
How great a defensive fighter can you be when you ship the kind of punishment Pea took in one round against Chavez? In two or three rounds in particular I think he ate more leather than Floyd saw in a dozen fights.
