Mike Tyson fought world title fights in three decades 1980s, 90s and 2000.

Evander Holyfield fought for a world title fights in three different decades again 80s, 90s and 2000.

Bernard Hopkins lost world title fights in three different decades as did John Ruiz if we're going into technicalities. Joppy also lost in three different decades.

Holyfield has now been mentioned a couple of times - and he's the answer to the second question.

At least 30 men have fought world title fights in 3 different decades. We're looking for the first to have done so!

We're also looking for the first to have lost world title fights in 3 different decades.

              Yep, you got that right.

And now for the last question... the tricky one!

Glen Johnson is the best guess i've got so far.

We have to go a bit further back than Johnson and Duran... but not WAY back! We're talking post WW2.
