    Cathartic KO's?

I'm talking KO's like JMM vs Pacquiao IV or Froch vs Groves II where there was an extra level of emotion going into the KO punch. Where the KO is about more than just winning the fight, but is also a way of exorcising pre fight demons.

    Any big examples from history?

Griffith vs Paret comes to mind despite the tragedy involved. Paret allegedly insulted the closet *******ual/bi ***ual Griffith with *******ual slurs before the fight. The ko ends up being one of the most brutal (and difficult to watch) in boxing history

I hate to say it but yes, I don't think anything tops that one.

Lewis ko in the Rahman rematch had a lot behind it.

Wladimir vs Austin I think it was, he said Wlad had no left hook so he ends up getting stopped by a bunch of left hook in a row so that was pretty cool.

Speaking of predictions, I remember Thomas Hearns saying his fight with Hagler would only take 3 rounds. Too bad he wasn't right about the result and about him being the one stopped. And that TKO was very cathartic for Hagler as it's when he was taken seriously as middleweight champion.

Hearns broke his right hand in the opening round. Hagler wanted nothing to do with a Hearns rematch, not even for twice the money. Hagler knew he would be lucky to last 3rds. in a rematch... Marvin Hagler who called himself "A 15rd Champion" .. yet he only ever fought 15rds twice and lost rounds 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 in both fights.

Chacon-Olivares 2? Chacon was totally weight drained and practically collapsed in the ring.
