Ask for actual evidence on here and our homespun, self-proclaimed boxing geniuses disappear. They specialize in opinion only. This speaks loudly of their understanding and concept of what history is. If it ain't Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492, it's on to bashing others for their supposedly inferior knowledge. A date or an opinion, that's all these boys have under their hoods. They have no concept of statistical data and no concept of history itself other than Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. That focuses their knowledge of history. They would not have a clue as to how to conduct proper historical research, because their concept of history is snatched from their third grade texts. They never learned what history is. Most people think they automatically know what history is. They know what mathmatics is, they know what Engliish and geography are. Therefore they must know what history is. They had enough of it in school. They have proven many times they do not even know what a fact is, other than Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. A fact to them is something like that, or their opinion which is so strongly held that they begin calling it fact.
Wake up. History is a philosophy. I know that idea stuns them. They are saying now, what, what? That's right, history is not merely a body of scattered facts and dates. History is also the Supreme Fiction. But this fiction must be assembled according to rules of scholarship. The mortar of their philosphy is opinion with scattered facts and dates. It takes a proper understanding of what history is before you can be a historian. They think an archivist is an historian. With their philosophy, the most they could become is proper archivists, unqualified to give an opinion on anything they have dug up.Last edited by The Old LefHook; 09-04-2015, 05:58 AM.

Criteria: Ring Top 10 Fighters. Weight classes who have a name next to them means that he is the consensus best fighter of the weight division, therefore he was not added to the total. Instead, the weight classes with names to them is seen as how dangerous/safe that weight class is to the consensus best fighter of the respective weight class. Weight classes with "n/a" next to them, means that there is no real best fighter there and all top 10 Fighters were added.

I was surprised to see the middleweight ranking as second safest. This is current data. No idea how well these ternds reflect historical trends, but it is an interesting question. The numbers probably dip and trend depending on the fighters in a particular division at a particular time.
Good job, Sonny. Please keep it up and I will become a foamy fan of yours. Hell, I might travel to England and apply as your secretary.

Look at the meritous post of Sonny right before yours. That's what I call information. I know Sonny has this abilty inside him. Sometimes it gets obscured. The kid has it in him to practically own this place, but it will never be done with opinion. I know he is a storehouse of opinion. It just may be that he is also the storehouse of information he always claims to be. The information he posted is worth more than a hundred posts expressing one's opinion. That's my opinion.

As a youngster i used to watch star trek and then when I got to college we had these word processors of death...like Valdox, where if a short emerged you would lose all your data And in my lifetime (with a few years to spare) I can ask my machine questions like Captian Kirk!
