Let's be honest, if there were a PED for the ability to take a punch it would have been invented by now. In fact, it would have been the FIRST one they made. Norton could use the juice to get bigger, stronger, faster. But they also made his balls shrink FIGURATIVELY as well as literally.
A lot of it is probably genetics, too. Ever watch National Geographic? What would make you think the laws of nature don't apply to man? Look at McGovern vs. Dixon and Gans. And then the rest of Boxing history all the way up to today, Ruiz vs. Joshua and Lomachenko vs. Rigo. Being explosive comes at the expense of being physically durable and mentally tough.
