    Ike ibeabuchi vs mike tyson

This would be a beauty...Tyson is a bit more polished and would catch
Ike late in the fight for a TKO.

Ike was a ridiculously hyped brawler IMO. I think a lot of people who rave about him are suffering from the same symptom as people who worship dead young rockstars. The potential is more exciting than the reality. Tyson would make him miss and stop him.

we will never know. I thought Ibeuchi was very good. However with that said there is a tendency for people to think Tua=Tyson when in fact Tyson was a lot more developed fighter than a one handed Tua ever was. Hence I would be willing to bet at least one poster will make a leap of logic stating that Ibeuchi's success against Tua would equate against Tyson.....No.....Just.......NO!

It's nice to see someone else saying that. It seems some people keep confusing "good prospect" with "great fighter".

Ike would take Tyson's best shots and fire back on mike, and mike would fold late...

I understand when people are skeptical about Ike, I get that. But he did prove his chin vs tua over 12 rounds, his stamina and chin cannot be questioned after that, and he stopped a prime chris Byrd, which isn't an all time great win, but Byrd was a very difficult fighter in his prime and wasn't stopped in his prime except for Ike, who got him out of there in a hurry. So I think it's safe to assume that Ike was semi legit and much more proven than an Edwin Valero..
IMO Ike would be able to withstand Tyson's early flurry and be able to take over the stretch and stop mike in the 10th or 11th.. I don't think Tyson has the heart or mental toughness to deal with Ike..

Whatever one thinks of ike he is more than a prospect....as Sugar Ali says he beat Bird which was quite a feat. he also beat the limited Tua at his most dangerous.

This is a good one....Ike was NO PUSHOVER. He was real. I think it depends on which Tyson Tyson though. Prime Tyson was damn near unstoppable. But to stop Byrd...top ten slickest southpaw in history is crazy. I can't even say on this matchup...

A prime tyson was very fast and would land first and land often. I think this will be one of Tyson's toughest fights and by 12 rounds he will be spent but my brain says a prime tyson brings his best performance, avoids a lot of Ike's attack and survives and gets the ud but Ike was a BEAST and I would not be surprised if he kos tyson in the last few rounds and Ike's uppercuts were good enough to do tyson some good damage

You're right. Ike was a top contender rather than just a prospect. I am just unconvinced that he would beat Tyson, Holyfield, or Lewis.
