    This. Duran won the fight.

      I scored it 144-141 Duran.

No way Leonard won the fight, certainly a close fight but Duran definitely won it.
It was a closely contested fight I agree Duran won but he should not have coasted in the last round. He had enough energy to taunt leonard and return the ringside taunts of Benitez. I could be wrong but one judge actually had duran second to a guy named even. lol

The three judges had rounds 9,10,11 scored as even. You scored them all for Duran. And, these are the guys that scored the overall fight for Duran. But they didn't see those three rounds the same way you did. Give the judges those three rounds and you yourself come up with a draw.

If my brother was female then he'd be my sister.

I simply didn't see those rounds even. The judges scored a ridiculous amount of even rounds, one judge scored 10 of the 15 rounds even which basically says that that judge was not doing a good job. The other two judges scored 4 and 5 even rounds. Boxing judging is a weird affair though, theoretically it is possible to see a fight one way but for the scorecards to not be reflective of that even with competent judging because judges don't judge whole fights but judge each individual round as a separate and independent fight.

We actually agree on 9 of the 15 rounds, rounds 8,10,11,12,13,14 are different. In those rounds you scored it 3 Leonard, 1 Duran and two even, I scored it 5-1 Duran, so it is really these rounds where we saw a different fight. Essentially we saw the first half of the fight the same and the second half different.

Anyway it was what I call a close but clear fight with Duran winning.

Scoring three rounds in a row even is generally a bad call.
A competent judge should almost always be able to find a winner of every round.

Interesting post-fight perspective from the fighters, referee and Howard Cosell

Even rounds used to be quite common. It's only relatively recently that an aversion to them has popped up. That being said, there's no way there was that many even rounds in that particular fight. Certainly not ten out fifteen. I'm going to have to look up the scorecards for that fight because it just doesn't seem possible that someone could come up with ten even rounds in that fight.

BoxRec: "Angelo Poletti had it 3-2-10. Sports Illustrated called Poletti's scorecard a 'monument to indecision'."
