Watched it live and just watched it again. I scored it as I watched this time. I thought I was being generous to Duran by a final score of 145-142 Leonard. If I really gave Duran every benefit of the doubt possible, I could believe 143-143. I could also easily see 145-140 Leonard. I think the people that see Duran winning see Duran leaning on Leonard with his body and feel like that means he's winning. They're not really counting punches landed from each fighter, especially all the body shots landed by Leonard. And, then Leonard himself looks beaten because he knows he fought the wrong fight.

I used the search feature but could not find a thread on this fight, but I think that's because the search engine is challenging... I pretty much knew there had to be a thread about this here somewhere. haha

The judges show a lot of L's in the last three rounds. Hard to imagine a guy winning the last three rounds and not the fight. Oscar made that mistake.

I know exactly what I thought when I last scored it: I scored it a draw and I felt if anyone edged it, it is Leonard.

I felt Duran won. You could argue for a draw, but I think Duran had stronger rounds than Leonard and deserved his win in the end.

It was a close fight. I could understand an argument in favor of a Leonard decision but I thought the aggression of Duran edged it out.

The fight was only shown live on closed circuit in my city. I was shocked actually the next morning to see Duran had won. Leonard was the bigger man and looked great in his previous battles. Duran on the other hand struggled against Zeferino Gonzalez and it didn't seem there was any chance he would do what he did. I felt Leonard fought the wrong fight even though he did good. He showed in the rematch his boxing dominance but that night in Montreal he chose to fight Duran's fight. Obviously he was a quick learner and did not make the same mistake twice..

Sorry, I can't understand how anyone could have scored it for Leonard. A draw would have been extremely generous to SRL. I had Duran winning it clearly despite giving away some of the final rounds.

I'm with you. If anything I'm more of a Leonard fan than Duran; but Duran won that fight clearly to my eyes.

No way Leonard won the fight, certainly a close fight but Duran definitely won it.
