He had more fights than that on HBO or Showtime, and he always popped big ratings. Hamed only had one non televised (in the US) fight after Barrera. And his Islamic enthusiasm and 9-11 did make for very bad timing for him.

This jaded c*** sounds like some racist trailer trash folk who sees colour and ethnicity before the boxer.

Too many c*** like that on here.

Now look who doesn't know what he is talking about...see for yourself how many USA fights he had.

Very funny in interviews (if you can stomach the ****iness), ring entrances were crazy, very awkward and he could **** with both hands. I was hoping he smacked MAB but MAB was crazy focused and locked in for that fight...he embarrassed Prince. Overall Prince is one of my all time favs...the Aggie Sanchez fight was one of his best performances that I seen.

Just because the fights weren't in the US doesn't mean they weren't televised there. And I was talking about TV ratings, not live crowds. I saw at least 10 of his fights live on US TV.

But you didn't see them on HBO and Showtime as you said if that's true...which I doubt.

Unless you're fighting on a major network in the US people won't know who you are. Very few people are going to watch fights from England in the USA especially during that era...he was barely known in the USA until after a few fights and then forgot about only a couple of fights later. But whatever...you're his fan so what can I say. I couldn't care less about him.

Showtime and HBO are the major networks in boxing in the US for the last 30 years. It is the same route that De La Hoya, Mayweather, and Pacquiao took to fame and recognition. And no matter how hard you try and dismiss it, he did have a high profile here for a fighter his size. As to your final comment, I'm not claiming everyone liked him. Many genuinely despised him. But he wasn't the obscure short termed nobody you are trying to make him out to be. The facts back me up.

Yes Showtime and HBO are the major networks but did not air his fights in England...you are dreaming. I don't think Showtime aired any at all for that matter because he was with HBO. HBO today rarely air's anything outside the US...not even the Klitschko's except for the rare occasions. He was not a Bernard Hopkins vs. Joe Calzaghe. I can't be bothered to reply to this nonsense.

Showtime aired his fights (live or same day) with Alicea, Medina, Johnson, and Badillo. I know this because I watched them. Look it up if you don't believe me. And I'm sorry if facts and details cause you so much distress. I do agree that this discussion has gone far enough unless you can prove (not just claim) that I'm wrong. BTW, Calzaghe-Hopkins took place in Las Vegas, not the UK.
