Which would you consider to be the all-around better trilogy? It's close, but I think the Holyfield-Bowe fights were a little bit superior because each one had incredible back and forth. In Ali-Frazier, The first & The Thrilla in Manila were amazing but the 2nd fight was as dull as dishwater.

No matter you're opinion on Ali-Frazier II, the first and third fights alone would give that trilogy the edge over Holyfield-Bowe IMO.

Ali vs Frazier is the best of the heavies! Sugarman vs the Bull was a true boxing feat and demonstrated the struggles of two of the best REAL warriors of all time. Also Pep vs Sadler was about as tough a competition as ever seen in boxing. Pep, like all other feathers was unabe to come close to matching Sandy's great power but was dedicated to try an out box/fox him and actually did once. If you want to read an impossible story about injuries and a will to fight on just read about Pep, that guy was a tough little man who was a master boxer who survived a plane crash and was told he wouldn't walk again. Not to mention married 5 Times!!!! Tuff guy!!! HA! Ray.

We must have watched two different fights Cliff. I don't see it going over big today either, and Ali would be scorched for the excessive holding.
