    Ali-Frazier or Holyfield-Bowe?

Which would you consider to be the all-around better trilogy? It's close, but I think the Holyfield-Bowe fights were a little bit superior because each one had incredible back and forth. In Ali-Frazier, The first & The Thrilla in Manila were amazing but the 2nd fight was as dull as dishwater.

Ali-Frazier II was dreadful. The only thing worse than the fight was the referee. But the first two fights are still too great not to vote for.

Yeah, but Bowe-Holyfield III was pretty bad: Sick as a dog 'Vander running out of gas and getting KTFO by an out of shape Bowe.

True. While that fight was more exciting than Ali-Frazier II, it was also very sloppy and at a much lower level than their first two matches.

Yes, it was somewhat sloppy and both men weren't at their best. But, it may have been the most exciting of the three. It had the most furious exchanges and both men had hit the canvas at different points. Also, Evander took a MONSTROUS combo from Bowe somewhere in the mid-point of the bout. Ali-Frazier II was just a dull Ali outpointing and clinching.

Ali-Frazier II is underrated. It was a good, solid fight in a great era. If that fight happened today between two top Heavyweights, people would lose their gord.

No matter you're opinion on Ali-Frazier II, the first and third fights alone would give that trilogy the edge over Holyfield-Bowe IMO.

Ali vs Frazier is the best of the heavies! Sugarman vs the Bull was a true boxing feat and demonstrated the struggles of two of the best REAL warriors of all time. Also Pep vs Sadler was about as tough a competition as ever seen in boxing. Pep, like all other feathers was unabe to come close to matching Sandy's great power but was dedicated to try an out box/fox him and actually did once. If you want to read an impossible story about injuries and a will to fight on just read about Pep, that guy was a tough little man who was a master boxer who survived a plane crash and was told he wouldn't walk again. Not to mention married 5 Times!!!! Tuff guy!!! HA! Ray.

We must have watched two different fights Cliff. I don't see it going over big today either, and Ali would be scorched for the excessive holding.
