RIP GJC. It almost surreal that someone who used to post on your threads and discuss boxing with you along with being such a classy poster is gone. Condolences to the family

If so may he rest in peace. He'll be missed.
His grandson John contacted me through George's (GJC) boxingscene account. He wanted to let me know how much pleasure this site brought him and to say thank you for that. He said he'll monitor the account for the next few weeks if anyone would like to ask him anything. I think it would be nice if as many posters read this would send there condolences through PM, to give a lost friends family support in their time of need.

Really? Jesus man, that's terrible news. He was a class act and one of the very great guys here. Wow.....he was a champ if ever there was one.

            RIP GJC.

            Best wishes to his family.

Rest in peace old friend, you'll be missed.

Very sad news, GJC was a great guy who knew an awful lot of boxing. He will be missed in the section and by anyone who knew him. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this time.

It's just sad. Even though it's just an e-colleague, i feel dejected. GJC was always kind. Always knowledgeable. Never a bad word towards anyone as I recall him. Some of us .... well most of us... sometimes gets carried away and post stuff that you wouldnt say to a guys face. GJC was never like that. He was always respectfull. I have a feeling he was lke that in real life too. Always respectful and balanced. Something we could all learn from.

May he rest in peace and my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
