Napoles is one of the tougher matchups for Leonard at 147 but I think Leonard wins a close decision

Yeah, it does suck, but it is a simple fact of his career and skin. It's like you take into account Amir Khan or Terry Norris' chin. It simply can't be discounted. I like Leonard for this however. Would be a great, close, chess match in the end which would be decided by Leonard's speed, eye catching combo's and stamina in a close decision.

        I'd favor Leonard over Mantequilla

On his best day, Mantequilla wins definitely. On an average day/night and esp if he gets cut, he might lose. Cuts were his biggest enemy. But I laugh at the notion that Leonard was a harder puncher than Napoles. Hedgemon Lewis' trainer called Napoles a true puncher. Leonard on the other hand was never known primarily for his punching power, esp not above 147.

I prefer sugar over butter too. Butter too fattening.

And Sugar causes Diabetes, which is ultimately incurable, and way more troublesome.

Yeah? Well, well, saturated fat causes heart attacks which kills you and being dead is even more incurable than diabetes! Take that!

Yeah, I don't think it's Leonard's power that wins this at all. It was his speed, his boxing brain and his need to win every round and late fight. Also, his jab and reach would trouble Napoles greatly.

Why do you think Napoles wins definitely? What if Leonard also had his best day on the same night? Is Napoles best day that much better than Leonard's? I'd certainly argue black, blue, green and red that it's possible that Leonard's best day was better than anyone's at 147 and definitely no worse.

If you don't think Leonard punched hard at 147 then you don't know much about Leonard. Leonard also stopped Ayub Kalule at 154 so his power just didn't stop at 147. I recall reading where a member of Roberto Duran's team said Duran commented that Leonard punched hard.

Leonard was clearly a very hard puncher when he landed flush and actually planted his feet. You don't get stoppages over Benitez (well, Benitez should have lasted, but he was still put down twice and hurt pretty bad), Hearns, and other top guys without having good power. It's underrated, but it wasn't mind blowing.

Napoles did have very good power but not enough to bother Leonard. I think the size and reach of Leonard, his speed, jab and combinations would get him the win. It's possible that he wins on cuts obviously.
