If we go back to the days of the color barrier there were obviously several black fighters who never got title shots, due to the conditions, it would be probably unfair to classify those as the biggest ducks.

To be fair, i will stick to my era in watching the sport. The HW division is the biggest division, and in the last 20 odd years that i followed the sport, my sole pick would be Rid**** Bowe throwing his WBC belt in the garbage can to avoid fighting Lennox Lewis. Lewis himself avoided Ruiz, and that has been discussed by me and sonny here already, so no need to give talk about that again.

The recent mega fight that didnt happen might be a good contender, but there is still a slight possibility that it still may happen, so we can't call it a duck yet.

When exactly did Foreman duck Holmes? There was talk of them meeting in 1976 but Holmes got injured, although it's doubtful whether King and Holmes' team would have fancied risking him against Foreman at that point. Then Foreman retired for ten years, so he was hardly ducking Holmes while he was preaching and eating cheeseburgers and had not the slightest interest in boxing. Finally they were scheduled to meet in the late 90s, only for the finances to fall through.

I can't think of any top contenders he faced who weren't shot. Vitali is the only one, but he to me was never a threat to Lennox, as he isn't as good as the heavies listed above.
