The Rock was undefeated at that time and also beat Louis, Layne by KO who had both beaten Walcott. He had also beaten Ted Lowry. What was the need to get ****y I ask sir? When you see a guy handling whatever the age it may be of your conquerors easily, you don't get ****y and start mouthing of about him. So I don't politely agree with the statement he didnot have any signature wins.
To The Starter of this Thread:-
Walcott did brutalize Marciano quite a bit before he got ko'ed, and a lot of people were writing Marciano off at that time (too small, no reach, easy to hit)--> Now, Now you are saying that since he actually did hit maciano a lot of times this is okay? Right so did Duran and Ali to their opponents after all the trash talk thats all right too?
Against Louis Walcott was fool to accept the ref and do what he said, he could have carried on, acknowledging the ref.
Well the ring ****zine info can be found in the ring ****zine already ain't it.
There are lots of sources that you just have to search to confirm these my man. Just google it if you want to confirm. Still you can use this
If you tell me today Walcott was a great fighter accepted, but if you just let us know he was all classy and humble always its not so. Fact is fact. He did say some things that are not humble, whatever way the Rock was at that time, saying those kinds of things about a fighter isn't classy either, funny it might be. And making excuses after a fight isn't one of them either. Just take a look at Hearns to see what a real class act should be.
Still we do agree Walcott was a god fearing man and was a great boxer.A top 15 anyways you cut the slice. I am not against that mate
