Very good stoppage, Jackson would have been on the canvas within another 20 seconds he took over 20 unanswered very hard punches.

I'm with Sonny on this one, no point the fight continuing if you are simply laying against the ropes and not throwing back. As soon as you don't throw back and are just covering up the referee has to seriously consider a stoppage, in my opinion Julian Jackson only has himself to blame.

I think it was a bit early, but at the same time Jackson wasn't throwing any punches back. I think Jackson would of gone on to take a bad beating if that fight continued which would of shaved years of his career, so I guess it was for the best

What did you think of the Tyson-Ruddock 1 stoppage?

Ruddock took some tremendous punches from start to finish especially to the body with many at ringside wincing as the blows landed, the stoppage looked premature but i am sure Richard Steele was quite aware of the onslaught Ruddock had taken which was brutal

Ruddock took a bad beating in the first Tyson fight, those body shots were brutal. I think the stoppage was also a bit premature, but if the fight continued Ruddock would of just ended up taking more punishment, as he did in their rematch.

I think Jackson is a good fighter.

Good stoppage... I would almost say it was a few seconds late. However, I can't think of many instances when I haven't taken the referee's side in fights that were stopped earlier than many people would want. I think Chavez-Taylor was a good stoppage, for instance.

I think it was a little early. Jackson was on the defensive for sure, but he was still punching.

Explosive fight BTW. Lot's of big punches and lots of those trademark bodyhooks from the bodysnatcher. Ouch.
