Hmmm, difficult. I wouldn't say it was wrong at all, but maybe a tiny bit early. Jackson had covered up, and then would throw back...but this time he was getting hit a lot more and had just been staggered again and the ref did actually give him a while to get something going.
What blows me away in that fight is McCallum's body punching. That counter right uppercut of his is so ****ing brutal. It's a thing of true beauty. The only guy comparable with that punch is Duran and even his isn't as good.
Check it out. The first round he lands some hideous body punches and especially that right counter shot straight into the sternum, solar plexus or lower stomach. It's such a rare punch and is without doubt one of the most brilliant, perfect shots you can throw. So few can do it though.
Check out the counter right at 3.57 exactly. It comes just after a little right hand. Incredible! I groaned in pain when I saw it again, never mind Jackson. He comes back after with that left to the body. One of the most brilliantly thrown pairs of body shots I've seen. I love McCallum (no **** or maybe just a little bit).
