Of course, he is.

He was the best featherweight of the 1990s. One of, if not the, hardest punchers the division has ever had. Won three versions of the featherweight title (should've been 4, but the WBA stripped Vazquez of his title right before their fight). And has a good resume.

He should be inducted into the hall of fame, pretty soon, as well.

LOL! Yep, Barrera beat him like a drum - And walking away from the sport when things got interesting was very frustrating. I think he had a rematch clause with Barrera as well?

That said, he was a damn good Featherweight(His record proves that) and entertaining.

He did get schooled but as far as that division goes I can't see how he doesn't make "great" status.

His character alone made him great - an excellent showman. p4p he's not a great but I think it's hard to argue against him being an ATG featherweight.
