Can't see it myself, 2 good wins over a fading Holmes although I thought Holmes won the 2nd. He beat a Cooney who had fought 1 round in 3 years and who never recovered from the Holmes loss. That Danish nonetity and got blitzed by Tyson.
Great Light Heavy who gets over remembered for the Tyson loss but can't see him beating Lewis, few of the lesser HW champs but can't see him beating any of the prime top 20 ATG's.
So! Does a Light-Heavyweight with 5 Heavyweight fights at the tail end of his career knock off Lennox?

Lewis easily by late round ko or decision. No way Spinks overcomes Lennox's jab or jackhammer right hand. I saw a brutal ko not unlike how he put Ruddock, Golota and Rahman to sleep. By the way, Cooney was a one handed fighter who never defeated a significant heavy in their prime. Dokes would have blasted him.
you also say a fading Holmes, but he went 21-4 with 4 world title fights after losing to Spinks, and you obviously admit that Spinks `kicked his ass` in their 1st fight but thought Holmes won their 2nd... GJC like many on here you are very good at being negative towards every fighter and their opponents if that fighter is proclaimed to be a threat to your idolization of Lennox Lewis... but its not to be unexpected, because Lennox Lewis is a Canadian/British thing.
Woah you are putting words in my mouth here sonnyboy, I didn't say Spinks "kicked his ass" in the first fight. It was a close fight that Spinks shaded, the second was also a close fight which Holmes shaded IMO. It was a faded Holmes but luckily Holmes had a style which never relied on speed and was a clever cagey fighter so "aged well" so to speak. I would favour a prime Holmes to beat Spinks though.
I think if you think that me giving Lewis a fair assessment is idolizing him then that speaks more about you than me to be honest. True I'm British but I look at Lewis as Canadian so I have no bias towards him, most of the people who disagree with your assessment of Lewis are American I believe.
As for bias towards fighters I much prefer Spinks as a fighter and if they did meet I would be cheering him on to kick Lewis's ass but that is different from thinking it will happen. As for Tangstead you obviously see qualities in him that I have missed.

No. Lennox was too big and punched too hard. While Holmes was bigger than Spinks, he didn't have the same physical advantages that Lewis would have including punching power.
