    testing out Harry Greb moves

posting this on the history forum as I find the members are more educated.

just working on coordinating my shots like Harry Greb. For those that don't know already this past year I have been trying to replicate old styles. I feel the progress has been amazing for just a years worth of work. prior to this I was so out of shape, lethargic. in my mind I thought I had the moves, but my body could not perform after 2 rounds. My goal was to have endless stamina and strength for my weight - to the best of my abilities.
    1. torquing my body like a rubber band without any tension
    2. doing exercises that promote this (1 hour on airbike, 1 hour on arm bike, 1 hour rowing machine, underwater shadow boxing, open palm for extended periods of time - great for finding leverage) and as of late, running about 3x a week at 15 km -21 km to remove tension from my upperbody
    3. making each punch transfer into a new punch effortlessly

Unfortunately no more sparring vids yet - just been working on my conditioning. Haven't been able to reach a gym at the moment.

rolling strafe. next up is to practice circling and using angles with this, at different speeds

oldschool crank jab, good on the offense, keeps the muscles limber

windmill hooks, this one I need to get smoother at, just started. gotta limber up the rotator cuffs.

    traditional hooks

Let me know what you think

Hey man, I’m only seeing this now and I think it’s very cool that you are trying to actually use old school moves in your boxing.

Have you tested these in sparring and in real matches? How did it go?

I have used them. And they work very well. Almost too good.

I am working on gathering some footage for everyone.

this past year I have been hard at work conditioning myself so I am very excited to finally start taking it seriously.

not just the moves - also the conditioning methods.

I have been shadowboxing underwater extensively - running long distances and abusing the airbike to simulate 15 rounds fights.

new years day I did my first 2 hour assault bike marathon and clocked 1650 calories burned, which according to chat gpt is approaching that of a 12-15 round fight (who knows the accuracy of this though).

all I can say is the last half hour my legs were seizing up and Ali mentioned his muscles seizing in the last Frazier bout.

doing the very best I can. Some very interesting things have happened and I have learned a lot.

I will up date as I go. Thanks for asking
