By my wording she is correct, but I'm looking for a guy. There is one.Willie Pep 229 likes this.

My guess would also have been Clarissa Shields... but if you're looking for a male boxer, I can only think of Oliver Kirk! However, both his golds were won in the 1904 Games - so I don't know, if this counts as "back-to-back"?Willie Pep 229 likes this.

Oliver Kirk.
He won both the Bantamweight and the Featherweight gold at the 1904 games in St. Louis.
He went just 5 and 13 with 3 draws in the pros, however. Still, it was dedication that derailed his considerable talent, and he dove in at the deep end, and he split to fights with the great Abe Attell.

Oliver Kirk!
Back-to-back: I was trying to make it a "pub trivia" question with a little twist.
kirk won the Bantamweight gold in a field of two.
Kirk then entered the Featherweight fry with two other participants. He recieved the "bye" and proceeded to win in the finals a second gold.
He fought two fights back-to-back and won two golds.Last edited by Willie Pep 229; 05-28-2024, 12:44 PM.
