Clay at 20 was getting knocked down by Sonny Banks and fighting Ancient Archie in his last fight that Arch threw after betting on Clay.
Tyson at 20 was blasting the guy who last beat up Ali, Berbick, near blasting the lurching Berbick out of the ring for his WBC title.
C'mon, I mean really. How about you vs a 6 year old. How about a Lion vs a Rabbit? A Tiger vs a Chihuahua?

While I picked Clay by UD one has to admit that they are opposites: Clay matured into one of the best ever; Tyson was at his very best, very young.
'89 Tyson (Spinks) vs. '67 Ali (Williams) is the fight we want to see.Hooded Terror JAB5239 like this.

In '67 Ali beat Terrell before ducking Wilt in favor of Zora. Not exactly up to 20 yr old Tyson stuff.
Working backwards, age 20 Mike KOed Pinklon Thomas, shut out Bonecrusher Smith, KOed Berbick, KOed Ratliff, Ribalta, Frazier, Boyd, Hosea, and Gross, and didn't drop a single round in any of those fights.
You boys need a better match maker if you want Ali to win anything...Willie Pep 229 likes this.

I don't believe he'd be anywhere near as overconfident or lax as he was with Banks, a serviceable, experienced fighter in his own right.
