Johnson v Scanlan.
This was a viciously contested fight, both men fouled continuously .
After the 1st rd Scanlan had a lump on his head from Johnson's left hand.

Second round Johnson had a big round, bloodying Scanlan's nose and hitting him when he pleased.

Third round, Scanlan blocked many of Johnson's punches and was very lively landing hard punches to Johnson's body.which hurt him.

Fourth round both men hit on the break a vicious left from Johnson had Scanlan's nose bleeding again,both men were in fighting furiously at the bell.

Fifth round,both fighters threw the rule book out of the window and fouled each other.Both ignored the referee, the fouls got so bad that the referee stopped the round 45 seconds early ,and sent the fighters to their corners.

Sixth round.A big round for Johnson he landed frequently on Scanlan but couldn't put a dent in him.Scanlan fought back spiritedly but Johnson's clever defence stopped him from landing solidly.

Seventh round began with fouling by both men and escalated to the point that, after repeated warnings to break clean, the referee again stopped the round early and sent them to their corners both protesting the other was fouling. The Club declared the fight a no contest .rThe referee later said he would have called it a draw.

Now Mr Ignorant, tell me why you think this fight was fixed? Produce your evidence?

It was ghost written because Johnson couldn't write, but those were his actual words from various interviews with him that were scribed into the book.

Johnson wrote the following letter to the New York Herald, some days before he defended his title against Jim Johnson.
" I am willing to defend my title against any challenger and those who will see me box my first opponent,Jim Johnson at the Premierland Friday night will be convinced that I am still the man who beat Jim Jeffries ,Tommy Burns etc, and I really deserve the name invincible ,which the Americans gave me." Your argue that the Ketchel fight was a pre-arranged supposed to be a pre-arranged draw. Fact.

News reports ay there was a slight fracture of the radius. Fact. And they way it like happened in the final round and report Johnson was nearly knocked out! Fact!

From which primary sources were they taken?
To be taken seriously,ie believed quotes and interviews need the back up of accredited sources.
eg Documented excerpts from books with the authors name and the date attached.
