Why did Hilario Zapata quit against Jung Koo Chang in the rematch?

Working on Jung Koo Chang's career this weekend, and curious as to if there was another reason Zapata said "No Mas" after taking a standing 8 in round 3....

From what I recall Zapata killed himself to make the weight. He couldn't make the weight on his first try and then it took two hours before he could get his body down to 108, which left him with almost nothing in the tank.

His weight may have caused the poor performance but he quit because he was getting beat up pretty good. I could have seen a Miles Lane or Richard Steele type referee stopping the fight instead of a standing eight count. At the end he wasn't competive taking too many clean shots.
