Well Plant is better than Griffin and Griffin completely outboxed Jones, which his fans seem to conveniently forget because of the DQ. Nash out.

That was 1997, and Roy "planted" him in the rematch. Plant hasn't fought anyone yet. Let's see how he does this weekend.

That's true, but so many say prime Roy outboxes anyone. That was prime Roy and it was 9 rounds or so, and he was not the better man that night at all. I think RJJ was great, just not quite as good as some think he was. Nash out.

            - -Translation: Roy was overenthusiastic in KOing Griffin that gnashing gums conveniently forget.

You know that is not right. And we must respect Nash. Nash out.

Griffin was winning the fight and outlanding Roy, but I will agree he got over enthusiastic when he knocked him down.

Griffin is chronically underated. I happen to think Toney beat him both fights, but even considering, he gave a hell of a performance and technically he was superb. He was outboxing Roy that first fight.... Don't know how long that would have lasted but it was quite an achievement considering.

Ill tell you something... Plant studied Jones. he has certain movements that look like something Roy would do, his head position, some of his footwork, and he loves his hook... of course Roy could jump across the ring and nail you with his lol...

Roy was unconventional to say the least, and to be able to imitate some of Roy's ways shows some talent for sure.

Unck... aren't you a big time Jones fan? lol.

Jimmy Young: Muhammed Ali. Two great fighters. Both had technical skills defensively that were extraordinary. But one guy had reflexes, speed, that was off the charts... That would be Ali of course.

Caleb Plant: Roy Jones. If Plant prevails (I think he will be a live dog)... Both fighters will have shown technical skills, fast feet, a great left hook. But one guy had reflexes and speed that was off the charts... that would be Jones of course.
