I always said the felix trinidad was one of the greatest welterwights... even at 154 he was a beast...... first off i think he had 19 defenses at welter..... he was a fan favorite.. selling out arenas.. he fought the best... my second choice would be sugar ray Leonard.. he started as a natural welter... i think he only had 6 defenses as a welter... 6-0

Leonard would eat Tito up and spit him out. Trinidad was a great Welter, but I wouldn't say an all time great welter. To stiff and predictable for a guy like Leonard. Jmo.
Never bought into Trinidad, IMHO more than a few should be ranked above him.

Trinidad was a mechanical plodder, and fairly slow. All great welters would mangle him. An easy fight for Leonard.

I liked Tito, but I don’t have him in my top ten welters. He got knocked down quite a bit, his defense was his offense.
