I've repeatedly stated that I am fans of: Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield (who made my top-ten Heavyweight list), David Tua, and Samual Peter. And that's just the Heavyweights. How about Roy Jones, Oscar De La Hoya, Pernell Whitaker, Joe Calzaghe, Shane Mosely, Kostya Tszyu, Jose Luis Castillo, Marco Antonio Barrera, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, John Mugabi, Terry Norris, and Erik Morales. Those are the ones I could pull off the top my head.
All post 70s fighters. Prehaps they need to develope literacy or possibly do some fact finding before they make rediculous statement. At least when I say they hate fighters from the 40s and 50s I'm only repeating statements THEY made in their posts.

lol I don't accuse you poet, I quote you. You definitely hate all newer fighters.
Where have I said I dislike older fighters? saying most of them were slow is simply the truth, not a flame. I think boxing back then was less technical and more based on who was the toughest.
They competed with each other and thats all that mattered during the time. I'm not going to be ****** and pick a slower, clumbsy fighter with bad defense over a quicker more agile newer fighter with good defense and I'll bet even more power.
quotes like the above are mistaken for "hating" older fighters. It's not hate at all! I still like watching old fight tapes. I'm just not living in denial.

Sadly, I don't find myself agreeing with the majority of Them-Apples posts so I honestly fail to see how anybody could mistake me for him. Nothing against him as a poster, he has his views and logic and is at the very least consistent. I have never accused Poet of hating all fighters after the 70s or even implied it. I have never hated on any fighters from the 40s and 50s.
Though Poet will continue to name drop me, quote me, and insult me every chance he gets despite being on his Ignore List, I will not respond to any more of this childish bull****. I will glady discuss boxing with anyone(including him) but these weak ass smear attempts are not worth my time. I only even post this in case anybody is actually naive enough to confuse me with Them-Apples.Last edited by Thunder Lips; 12-30-2007, 11:11 PM.
