Jack Johnson would humble Jeffries no matter what. Jack Johnson was a butcher. Jack Johnson would be standing over Jeffries at the end of the fight no matter what.
Good lord, are you blind? Did you not read what I posted about the match-up? Did you see me say otherwise?

All read was "Dempsy KO7 Johnson", and laughed my head off.

Jack Dempsey was a geat champion, but he nerver knocked out Jack Johnson.

And I never said that you said otherwise. You seem to know a good deal about boxing history. Hats off to you my friend.

I think it would've been a totally different fight. nobody should underestimate just how good was Jeffries was, most experts in his day said that he was easily the best heavyweight to have yet been seen, when Johnson cane along he got similar rating and it would have been THE superfight before Dempsey came along. None of us these days can claim to know those men like those who were there and opinion was fairly even with just maybe an edge to Johnson among the experts, I think Johnson would have prevailed but only after surviving 6 or 7 rounds of HELL from a way quicker PRIME Jeffries. A Decision to Johnson but just like Jeffries, Jack would be on his way to a 2 to 5 day stint in the Hospital, wow what a WAR.

I don't think the fight can be taken too seriously. Typical case of a well past prime great being humiliated by a young champ in his prime, seen it happen countless times.

If I remember correctly Jim Jeffries said Johnson would've beat him in any stage of his career. I'm not so sure, maybe he was just being a good sportsman kinda strange being a racist and all.
