Once Hearns hits Jones with a screaming right cross in the 3rd Roy will go down the boulevard of broken dreams!

Jones by stoppage.
Naturally bigger, more powerful (Not p4p, but in real terms Hearns was not KOing anyone relevant above 160), faster, more stamina. He probably has the better chin, too (remember Hearns was a chinny welter), and Hearns does not like it to the body (of course, who does?),
All Hearns would have is a reach advantage. Love Tommy but that's not enough.

I believe there isn't one junior middleweight in history that hearns couldn't have beat and the way he destroyed Roberto Duran will live with me forever.
So if the fight with Jones were to be at light middle then I'd go with Hearns every day of the week.

At Middleweight I agree I'd go with Jones. But I'm gonna have to disagree with gavinz and hawk on this and say that Hearns was most effective at light middleweight. At Welterweight he was slick but was too big for the weight and didn't carry the power, at Middleweight he was good but wasn't quite as fast and didn't have the chin to mix it with the big boys, but at light middleweight he had speed and power and this was his ideal weight. Had he stayed there he could have reigned for years.

it was when he kept going up his power diminished
now when he entered jr middle tho
he was home
tommy was a beast at jr middleweight
and i do believe he woulda reigned there until julian jackson, mike mccallum and terry norris came in the scene
then hearns shoulda moved up
now wut about this...

hearns vs.terry norris(???)

I think he had the style to take Hearns, which is more than I could say for just about anyone else who's ever fought at 154.
