Who Hit Harder Marciano Or Tyson?

Mike Tyson Vs Rocky Marciano thread has quite a bit about who hit harder so i thought id start a thread. IMO Tyson was Stronger and had great technique in punching, had one of the best Left hooks in the business with possibly a harder right. I cant see a 30lbs lighter Marciano punching harder?! Not that he didnt punch hard, in his era marciano was possibly the hardest puncher around, but he was also relentless which batterd his opponents into submission.

Marciano had more soul power. The guy tapped into source power better than Tyson could ever hope to, let's keep it at that. Tyson was on for the few years that D'Amato was alive to babysit him, but what kind of man lets his life fall apart like Tyson did? Tyson was a real man in many ways when you see what a ***** most people are, but he's a screaming infant compared to the Rock.

Yeah, so that's just how it is. Tyson was more of a man than a lot of people out there who don't take any personal responsibility for themselves or do anything with their lives, but Marciano makes even Tyson look like a child.

So really I don't give a **** who hit harder, because Marciano was the stronger soul and better inspiration to the sport. Read up on the guy and you'll see that he had the goods.

But in a boxing match, who knows. Maybe Tyson had the physical gifts and build to hit harder, but not by much man. Marciano's power was legit, and if you think some extra muscle is going to neutralize it, you've never been hit by a skinny guy who can crack. Ask William Joppy if little chicken chest Trinidad can hit or not.

So many people on this forum work out and think their muscle mass can protect them in a fight but if someone can throw their weight into a punch, even if it's a girl, they can **** you up, end of story.

Ask yourselves this, if Tyson really hit as hard as his hardcore fans claim, why did he never kill anyone or end a career in the way that Marciano did with scary regulairty? Marciano was putting people into comas and ruining their careers with consistency. When Tyson knocked a guy out, it made for a brutal and exciting night but those guys usually continued on to do other things. With Marciano it was usually the end of your career. And he couldn't even hit you as often or as accurately as Tyson did.

If punch for punch, Tyson hit so much harder than Marciano, and he was hitting his opponents so hard and right on the button all the time, why was no one ever killed or seriously harmed? Don't give me that **** about the gloves either, because the padding actually makes a concussion even more likely over the course of a fight, and don't try to come at me with "oh, the guys Tyson fought were bigger and better conditioned". Don't make me laugh, I mean take a look at some of the skinny awkwardly built no hopers he pummeled early on. It's not like Tyson has been fighting Adonises who've all taken advantage of modern technology to be the best they can be.

Look at the viking he fought, Brian Nielson. You try to tell me that guy was a superior fighter or athlete to Walcott or Charles, and I'll laugh your ass off the internet.

There's really no way to tell who hit harder, but I believe their power is more comparable than anyone has guessed.

No doubt about it The Rock was a class act. It's not hard to find dozens of stories about his selflessness.

I think of the best stories ever was when he nearly killed Vingo. He hardly trained for the LaStarza fight electing to sit vigil by Vingo's bedside and go to the church and pray. Almost cost him the LaStarza fight too.

But it just speaks to the character of Marciano.
