    Roberto Duran

After watching him in the first Leonard fight last week, I must say that I don't like him. I've had nothing against him in the past, but now I do. After the fight was over and Leonard reached out to shake his hand Duran just brushed it aside. What a classless bastard! Maybe that's how it was in Panama or something, but common friggin' decency is universal. And then he started making lude jestures at Leonard and Wilfredo Benitez, who was ringside, acting like he destroyed Leonard or something. I thought the fight could have went either way. And even before the fight, Duran made personal attacks at Leonard and his family. Talking bad about the opponent is one thing, but to stoop so low as to go after the family with personal attacks is just inexcusable. He called his wife a hoar, on top of other things. And then carrying on after the fight like he was the baddest man in the world was just comical. Saying that he won the fight because he was "more of a man", then Leonard. Sure he was more of a man. Making personal attacks about Ray's wife, acting up after the fight like a little biotch 12 year old who got his lollipop taken away from him, and refusing to shake his hand after the fight is real mature manliness huh idiot? At least Leonard conducted himself with class that night, and he was more of a man than Duran will ever be. During the fight I think Leonard matched him blow-for blow, and IMO the yell of the crowd may have been the deciding factor in the scoring of the fight. Everytime Duran did something good they yelled with excitement. Even when he missed they cheered. When Leonard did something good there was no reaction whatsoever. Maybe that's why many people here claim that Duran annihilated Ray or something to that nature. Nobody annihilated anybody. Karma is a dog, and Duran got just what he deserved in the rematch. This time instead of going to war, Leonard did what he was supposed to do, box him. Leonard's plan that night was to stick, move, taunt, and embarass! Duran was out of his element. Sure he could handle a guy that came right at him, but put some movement on him and he's lost. I was so glad Ray humiliated him like that, and was dishing out the same treatment he was getting from Duran before. You know the old saying, "He can dish it out, but he certainly can't take it!". Ray humiliatingly beat him up and made him quit like the ***** he is! To me that victory was more decisive than the decision win from Monreal. No doubt Ray took a portion of Roberto Duran's legend that night. I'm now adding Duran-Leonard II, and Hearns-Duran to my "favorite fights" collection. Well, I'm done.

Not to mention they rushed Duran into the second fight not fully recovered and having problems losing weight, his manager forcing him to inject hormones into his stomach so he would lose weight faster but giving him cramps during the fight.

Just can't come to grips with it can you. Sugar Ray Leonard is Duran's daddy, ahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Leonard toyed with him like a child and made him quit in the middle of the fight 'cause he couldn't take it anymore. Leonard is head-to-head the better fighter and the better man. He bested him in the ring 2 out of 3, including a demoralizing stoppage! His only loss was a neck and neck decision droppage. Not to mention Leonard beat up and stopped Tommy Hearns, who beat Duran like a child who stole something from him in less than 2 rounds. WHO'S YOUR DADDY???LOL!!!!

It wasn't neck and neck dummy.

Does anyone rank Leonard as high as Duran? Well, besides you.

Duran was simply the better fighter. I know exactly why that's so hard for you to accept too, you're such an obvious little identity-conflicted clown, we have three or four just like you on these forums
