[PLEASE HELP] i'm considering going to the theater to watch may vs mcgregor, it's only $40

    has anyone done this?

from 1-10 how ****** was the overall experience? i live in LA and most boxing fans here are blacks and mexicans and i don't want race riots to break out while i'm trying to watch the dang fight. i'm sure some irish will show up too and get into altercations with the TMT fans.

also, which theater is best? should i go for reserved seating? i plan on showing up nice and early so i cant watch the under cards too. but i am going alone so i need to sit towards the very top so i don't look like a friendless loser.

    1. How was the overall experience? (Also if you are in the L.A. area what theater do you recommend?)

    2. Did you go alone? Did you feel awkward going alone?

    3. Were you ****faced or sober?

    4. How early did you arrive and how long did it take for the theater to get packed?

    5. Do they typically ONLY show the PPV portion of the broadcast, or do they also show the prelim under cards (the prospects and stuff)?

streams are so unreliable and terrible quality. plus theres gonna be literally MILLIONS of people streaming so virtually every stream you choose will cut out and lag. $40 is cheap compare to $100

not true. floyd fans tend to be very insecure and not fun to hang around. they make everything about race.

i heard from a few buddies of mine that people were wildin' out for ortiz vs mayweather and canelo vs mayweather. gang wars were popping off in the theaters.

Went to the theater for Mayweather-Maidana 1. Went to an AMC theater downtown. Pretty chill time, tbh. A lot of families coming with kids, friends rolling out for the night, a few seemingly date nights, etc. A lot of black and brown peoples, but Asians and white folks came out too.

The theater wasn't packed in, but definitely a good crowd there, and most folks seemed to get into the fights.

The concern, I think, is overblown; sustaining a buzz for three hours is pretty tough for even the drunkest people, and the cost of any beer/wine in the theater is so high that it costs way to much to even keep drunk.

Grab a spot in the middle of that second level, and enjoy the show

I watched Canelo Chavez with my friend at a nearby theater and it was 20 per person. Overall experience ****** because most people there were casual ****s who just pissed you off with their ******ed comments.

If you see someone you know, you've lucked out and found someone you've known who also wanted to see the fight; hang out, chat, and enjoy the show.

In terms of the "second level", most theaters I've been to have two levels, the lower level being level with the screens, and a second level, seemingly on risers.

Basically, it gives you the chance to see the screen dead on without straining your neck.
