They gave him a pass and never challenged him. In fact he has even had the media lie for him. For example when he was debating Mitt Romney. He had debate moderator Candy Crowley lie for him saying he called Benghazi a terror attack during a rose garden speech a day or so after the Benghazi attacks. ***** gave an interview to CBS 60 minutes the same day as the speech where he refuses to call Benghazi a terror attack and says we should wait for the facts to come in. CBS news withheld that portion of the interview until after the election.

The reason for the Benghazi lie was the ***** campaign and media were trying to paint Mitt Romney as someone who shoots firsts then asks questions later and ***** as a more reasonable cool headed candidate.
