Lee Hughes continued to play football after he was convicted of a 'hit and run'. A man died and 2 others were seriously injured. Hughes and his friend fled the scene but turned themselves in 36 hours later. He was "Driving like a madman" and apparently fled the scene to avoid doing a breath test for alcohol. He served 3 years of a 6 year sentence and the victims said "He showed no remorse". He also got convicted of assault in 2011.

He went on to play for 5 different football teams and still plays today in the conference. If he is allowed to continue his career after causing the death of another person then why shouldn't Evans?

if he turns out to be 20+ goal scorer then a few more might look at him.

                football has no morals.

marlon king beat up women and played for numerous clubs.

If agree there are double standards but if Evans had been the first not to be allowed to return would that be a bad thing?

I get what you're saying but then would we not have to then say anyone with a criminal record can't play professional football? Isn't that a form of work discrimination? The idea of going to prison is that you serve your time and pay your debt to society and then re-join society and that includes finding work.

I understand why some are against him returning to a lucrative profession but it's not like he's a teacher returning to a school where he would have access to young girls. He's just a footballer and I think if a club are willing to sign him, he should be allowed to play for them.

As someone pointed out with Lee Hughes, his crime is arguably far worse and he came back without any commotion. I think it's because the Evans' crime is **** and that serves an agenda in today's society.

There is a famous feminist rhetoric that is 'Teach boys not to ****'.
