Super Bowl rings are for a team win.

Records are for individual greatness. Manning will go down as the greatest QB ever, followed by Marino, then Favre. Montana, and Elway closely followed.

        Brady is somewhere around 8ish.

You make a legit case. But if there is one play that got Brady to this point, it is the Tuck Rule, AKA the worst call in NFL History

So how is Brady not top 5, his stats and individual records are far better then Elways and Montanas. Also has a better Td/Int ratio than Farve, which is significant.

I do agree with the individual greatness...cuz yeah nobody on Earth could compare a Dilfer to Marino......

But the fashion in which Elway and Montana were so clutch when it counted has them way up on the list IMO

And Brady most def top 5 material

                Different eras, different standards.

I get the clutch part but if your going toe to toe stat wise Brady kills Montana.
Also Elway is really overrated IMO.

My personal list in no order goes Manning,Brady,Marino,Unitas,Montana,Steve Young.

Also football is the ultimate team sport you cant dominate on defense and offense like you do in basketball. Your O-line has to Block and your receivers have to catch to effect your stats. Just think about this Brady would have been 4/4 if Samual caught that interception instead he dropped it leading to that crazy miracle helmet catch next play.

we also have to point out that NE defense and schemes have given Brady some pretty decent breaks and short fields in champ play.

Of course especially early in his career. That was some great pats defenses during the championship years. Although times were different from the early 2000's, now this era seems much more offensive minded. I think it became much easier for Brady and Manning in this era, you see the numbers alot qb's get now.
