Santa is fictional so he can be any damn colour he wants to. He has that Yank body but other than that, he isn't white like Native Americans are, oh wait!

Saying that Jesus was white and that is a fact because he was a real person is just a flat out lie. Anyone with a modicum of sense would look at current residents of the middle east and Israel/********* in particular and see that the people who live there do not look white, let alone like the blond haired and blue eyed Christ of religious propaganda. That is even taking the idea of Christ at face value, which strains credulity at best.

That being said, the idea that Santa needs to be replaced with a penguin to assuage the anxiety and depression that a white Santa causes to minority children is the height white-gulit tripping. It's pathetic, truly. This was a nation founded by people of European heritage and it continues to be a majority caucasian nation. The culture is still primarily generated and based upon Euro-Christian ideals, innovations and people. Where does that line of thinking reach its logical conclusion? Do all fictional characters need to be replaced by animals? Is it just fictional characters in children's stories or do we need to take care not to hurt the sensibilities of adults as well? Should we replace the founding fathers on our money with elephants, zebras and giraffes?

It's true. There's a statue of Jesus at my local church and he looks white to me.
