The whole point of Jesus, Christianity, and the bible is to save you from Hell. To say that when people threaten others will hell is not very Christian is similar to saying that throwing punches is not very boxing like.
The whole Bible, particularly the new Testament is a central warning about Hell, and the need to be saved. Let me ask you something, what exactly in your life were you taught about what it was that Jesus' came to do, and WHY He came to do it?
Second, I grew up a Catholic like most Mexican kids. Baptized, conformation, communion, the whole 9 yards. I read the Bible, and had to study it. Was told that Jesus was the only way into paradise and that he died for everyone's sins.
He was the truth, the light and the savior or the world.
Then I actually read the Bible, and how contradictory it is. How it can be left open to interpretation and that's the reason for over 30,000 sects of Christianity. Including big disagreements on how you get to heaven.
Some think it's good works, God's mercy, or grace through faith. Some believe that only in accepting Jesus.
So, my point is that you have your version of Christianity and believe it to be true. Many would disagree with you because there is no one message in the Bible, rather a convoluted message that humans have interpreted as they would like. Same with all religions.
When you break down the Christian myth though, it's silly at best. So if there was a god, he's not the one from the Quran, Bible or any other holy book.

not another one of these threads...
it's either, " you believe in that?! why you're barking mad!!!" or "well, if you don't believe, you're going to hell! suck on that atheist!!!" ffs, what does this ever accomplish.
we all have different beliefs, so let's respect each other accordingly. it's not productive to start claiming who's right and who's wrong, where's that going to go?
i'll give my two cents on the subject even though i'll most likely be scorned and ridiculed for it. i believe we are three parts - body, soul, and spirit. for those of faith, they receive gifts and understanding of the spirit. but those who reject faith for more carnal reasoning, their recognition of such truths has become paralyzed or fallen into atrophy from neglect. they have lost their faculty whereby alone spiritual truth is discernible. it becomes to them what painting is to the blind, or music is to the deaf.

No matter what miracles you guys ever see or witness most will not believe. Even back when Jesus would heal the blinded eyes and raise the did there were still doubters!! doubters will be doubters! its the spirtual blindness that needs to be fixed. Once you get your spirtual eyes open than that when you start believing
