You would do whatever it took to get the dog to let go of your child. then you would attend the kid to make sure its ok, and try calming him down.

All this talk about killing, tearing up the dog and its owner wouldnt happen. All that is needed is a punch on the dogs nose. You then losing control like a fool and getting locked up for killing the dog and its owner is really going to help your child!

I got self control. We're not chimps.

No, the owner should be shot. I have had dogs my whole life and if you train them properly, they won't do that. You can tell if a dog is a biter.

I wouldn't attack the owner... I'd go all out on that dog though until it let go of my kid.

Yea in that case when it's happening, you have to kill that dog. I would have kicked, punched and hit that dog with whatever I could get my hands on if I was there.

The dog ultimately isn't responsible though, the owner is.

I just pictured the dog flying across the park splitting the uprights...

              Agree with all that.

You have to have a child to understand the adrenaline rage you would have to see your child in harm like that. No dog stands a chance... especially a dog that's currently distracted with trying to bite my kid, while he's doing that, I'm coming from the side with 200lbs of brute force to his neck, ribs and eye sockets.

I had a Rott and I let him play with my son when my boy was just a few months old, but like a responsible owner, I always kept an eye on them.

I was more worried he would piss on him than actually mauling him.

To be honest,I don't think it would take any provocation for your type to do that to a dog, anyway.
