Do you believe in Ghost?

in the 8th grade i took a class trip to washington DC and Gettysburg
upon entering our hotel room in gettysburgh i saw a very strange blue light flash brightly the second i tried to turn on the light.
but it came from the bathroom, which had a seperate light switch. i was about 20 feet from the bathroom, but that's where the light came from
it was very strange. the dudes i was with were freaked the hell out. we were in the 8th grade. i thought there was a natural explanation, but it was very strange. i was also the 8th tough guy and would never show weakness like that. are you serious, dog? i had credibility to maintain. all 13 years of it
there was probably some moisture around the wiring or in one of the electrical boxes behind the walls. when i turned on the swtich it probably produced some conductivity with the moisture, and instantly vaporised it.
the braker was probably designed to flip back on automatically if it doesnt sense a fault of some sort, and it gave us the electricity back.
i didn't know that at the time of course.
or there was a ghost.
tens of thousands of people died a horrible death in that town, nearly all at once. who is to say a trace of that doesn't get left behind in the form of a ghost?
i cant prove the opposite. Gettysburg is a crazy place. when you walk out onto that big field you feel it.

Science has proven time and time again that "ghosts" do not exist simply from analyzing the "evidence" put forth by the witnesses: Be it from debunking the rise of "orb" photography in the digital age, to uncovering video manipulation and audio editing in both audio and video recordings of said ghosts, etc....
The only "proof" (and I use that term very lightly) of the existence of ghosts that exists that cannot be debunked by scientific methods are firsthand stories of the witnesses, because it's ****ing impossible to debunk someone's words : I can claim I leapt to the moon and back last night just before hitting my bed for my nightly 8 hours, and while any rational human being would know I was completely full of ****, you still can't prove that I didn't.
But try explaining all of this to someone who is so mentally insufficient that they watch "Ghost Adventures" as if it's a ****ing documentary - It can't be done. These people are so mind-numbingly ******ed that they believe that what is captured on that show (and others like it) or the firsthand accounts of some gelatinous goober who claims to have seen one actually constitutes as "evidence" to support their case.
These are usually the same mentally incompetent meatbags who believe that ouija boards are actually a demonic gateway to the afterlife, and not what it actually is - A cheap parlor trick game sold by Parker Brothers (LOL) that works off of the ideomotor effect.
They're also usually the same patheticly insipid failures at life who believe guys who practice cold reading like John Edward are legit mediums who can communicate with the deceased.
Point being : They're illogical nitwits and it's a total drag that intelligent people are actually forced to inhabit the same planet as them.Last edited by ßringer; 04-01-2012, 10:38 AM.

Still though it could just be paranoia, etc.
Unless it's proven that they don't exist, I'll assume it's possible.Last edited by deliveryman; 04-01-2012, 10:37 AM.

It's like saying you can turn invisible as long as nobody is watching you.
How would one know they were invisible then if nobody could tell them..because they, ironically..can't see him? That's the point.
Unicorns..<__<...sure, I'm sure there's been some mutated horse with a horn at some point in time. The Flying invisible dragon? I've never seen (obviously, it's invisible) or heard of one, so I'm going with no.
