This is in no way as bad as Spygate.

Anything more than a fine isn't warranted imo.

Playing hard and trying to injure players on purpose are two different things.

            YEP, that is the distinction.

It's like you can think it and even try to do it, just don't say it.

That's where this thing went wrong.

Yeah, and I have no doubt that there isn't plenty of "bounty" type things floating around in more clubhouse. If it had stayed behind doors, no problem, but to the public this certainly looks bad. Extra incentive for injuries. Maybe a db raises that helmet a bit higher to the opponent, or launches himself at a defender. The bounty gives players the incentive to play a bit dirtier in hopes that they don't get caught or in some cases the reward outweighs the risk of getting a penalty.

I'm not completely against the bounties because the league has gone pretty soft as of late. The NFL we see today is nothing like it was in the 90s even. I do want player safety but there's a line between clean and dirty but the game has completely changed. Have you seen the new kickoff rule for College, jreck? It's like they want to completely get rid of kickoff men all together, which is awful.

I was listening to a radio show and they were saying a lot of coaches will just force their kicked to just kick it shorter(which makes sense). It's just ****** though because the kick returner is one of the most exciting part of the game and even the big hits that come from it. Desmond Howard, Devin Hester, the dude that used to play for KC(forgot his name), the beer man from the saints a few years ago, kid from LSU this year got big praise. Everyone loves the good returner. The league is just being ****** with all these "safety rules". It's like boxing, it's physical, injuries are bound to happen.

How can you prove that a player was trying to purposely injure another player when the player did a legal tackle?
