Has anyone here been to Seoul?

The people are very nice actually. The food is great. It's fairly scenic (S. Korea in general, and Seoul is somewhat like NYC) though I prefer Japan overall. Good night life. I'd recommend giving it a visit.

I live in Seoul, been living here about 9 months

It's definitely worth a visit but I wouldn't say it's a place you could be fully entertained for a long trip. It gets a bit samey after a few days. If I was just visiting Korea for fun, I'd divide my trip between Seoul and maybe Busan, or Jeju.

Although, for the price of a ticket between Korea and Japan, I'd rather divide my trip between the two countries. Very cheap to fly from Seoul to Tokyo.

The thing with Seoul is once you've done the usual sights, the rest of the city looks pretty much the same. There's not much diversity in terms of different parts of the city. I find most visitors are struggling for things to do after a few days except try different food.

Living and working here is pretty good though.

Seoul is nice especially if you trek the surrounding mountains. Just too many people, not about getting shoulder barged by grannies while you are trying to browse the local market

Spent a year in Seoul. That was probably enough. I enjoyed it there. People are nice.

Other than Seoul, you just need to spend time in Busan and Jeju, as was mentioned. Maybe Jeonju since it's the culinary capital. You could do that in a day easily. I also went to an island called Sunyeudo which isn't far from Jeonju. That's nice enough to do for a day or two.
