Rare/medium rare, it hurts me to see good steak cooked till it's grey all through. My ex's family, always wanted their beef cooked well and wouldn't eat it any other way. I think if you come from a country where the quality of the beef is questionable, it's the safest bet and that's what you get used to.

I can eat a steak medium rare if needed, and without ketchup (some high end joints don't carry ketchup), but those are not my preferences
